Annual Round the Island Race
Exciting Competition at the Annual Round the Island Race
The annual Round the Island Race is a major yacht race around the Isle of Wight, attracting over 1,200 boats and 10,000 sailors. The race starts and ends in Cowes, covering a 50-nautical-mile course.
This year, a formidable team is on the starting line, aiming to win the Bridge Deck Multihull class in Round the Island Race. The team comprises three members: the boat's owner, Bert; Joep, a highly competitive sailor who races every week in the Netherlands and will serve as the helmsman; Hervé a French student passionate about sailing and Mark, the Sales Manager at Mi.Cats, who is a local with extensive knowledge of the area. Mark has participated in the Round the Island Race before and is also the dealer of the Neel trimarans. They are sailing the famous Neel 43 named Hydra, which Bert bought from Mi.Cats, giving them a significant advantage.
The team is highly competitive and determined to win the race, aspiring to break the record set by Mi.Cats in 2022. That year, Mi.Cats won the race in their category, setting a high standard for this year's competition.
Join us on June 15th for the race and cheer on this dynamic team as they strive for victory!
